Eldar Jetbikes: Why I rate them.

Eldar Jetbikes - My go to Troops Choice for the new Eldar.

The Eldar Codex has been out for a week or so and there has been plenty of time to digest the changes.Lets have a look at why they are so  sexy.

Riding a jetbike boosts the riders T to 4 and gives him a 3+ armour save. Very space marine like. Across the board there has been a boost to the WS and BS up to 4, jetbikes included.

In terms of movement the jetbike can move a solid 12 inches, shoot in the shooting phase, and move a further 2d6 inches in the assault phase. If you are not planning on shooting you can simply turbo boost them 36 inches. Very sexy.

In terms of shooting the jetbike sports a twin linked shuriken catapult. Only a 12 inch range, but the movement of the jetbike makes this a non issue for the most part. Eldar jetbikes hit on 3s with rerolls.
S4 means wounding marines on 4s, a 6 to wound will rend causing a wound regardless of toughness at ap2.

One in 3 bikes can be upgraded to a shuriken cannon, sporting a 24 inch range which gives further flexibility.

If that isnt sexy enough the a Warlock from a seer council can be added to the squad , and at a minimum giving the jetbikes the Shrouded effect (+2 to cover save).

All in all a very cool unit with terminator killing power.
