With all the random projects I have on my desk, I never got around to finishing the first 5 guys for my IH mkII project.
I finally did today, although I did forget how I painted the first 3 lol, but I figured it out in the end. I also added one white kneepad on each, as I like the way white contrasts with the black. I may add more white as I go up the ranks, in the form of pads/stripes etc.
I can now paint something a bit more exciting, namely a Gorgon terminator and an IH Immortal. Such awesome models, I can't wait! The scheme should look totally awesome on those models also.

Klanky!
My Goff paint scheme now locked in, and now the method for all the vehicles (which you know, in a Dread Mob is a bit!).
First Kan off the new paint job rack, Klanky!

IH WIP
So I have managed to replicate the IH scheme, very easily, so looks like I can finally get back to working on them!
At some point I am also going to paint a test rhino, to get the vehicle scheme sussed. Seeing as I have a Felblade, Spartan, Armoured Proteus, Venator, and Deimos Rhino to paint, this will be awesome.

New IH scheme test model #2
So I wasn't super happy with the last attempt so I did another one with less black in the grey. I like it a lot, and very quick and easy too. I was impatient and fucked up the wash on the chest a bit but thats easy to fix. I may also add some chipped paint to the elbows.
I can do all my normal troops like this, and bling the models up more the higher they are in the chain of command.
I have pretty much my whole IH army currently soaking in simple green so will clean them in batches of 5 and try alternating between painting them, my Mech, and my Necrons. That should keep me motivated, instead of painting pretty much the same model over and over.

Oh and I also refined my Necron scheme a bit. Made the gold actually gold not bronze, and also made the energy effect look more like my Mech weapons since I think its really effective. This is at the same stage as my Mech guys, ready for transfers/weathering, although I'm not sure I want to use any transfers on Necrons.

New IH scheme test model
So I also decided to try the scheme on my IHs, as I'm not having much joy with my UMs. Works pretty well. Think I went overboard on the wash though, as the metal is darker than I would like. Then again, post Istvaan IHs would be fairly battered, and the dark metal, chipped paint and dirty/rusty armour all work towards that theme.
Necron test model
So I tried "The Method" on a Necron Immortal, and it is definitely gonna work for a Necron army. The turquoise needs to be toned down with weathering powders but apart from that very happy! There is bronze on there, as I didn't want to go over the top with bling and use gold. It is hard to see however due to my shitty photos.
