Here are some WIP progress of the Blood Axe Battlewagon.
It is worth noting the Nob with the banner actually sits a little lower in the gun. He came lose during the spray process.

Banner finished!
Well. What can I say. Transfers suck balls.
After a couple of fails I managed to finish the banner. I realised that I had to repaint the front of the banner so the transfer got weathered with the rest of it.
I painted over the transfer with a dark grey before washing the whole banner and also washed the transfer black.
It actually looks like the transfer isn't centered but thats just the shape of the banner being sneaky.

Iron Within, Iron Without
For some time I have been pondering what Heresy era legion to play.
Naturally I am drawn to Death Guard. I have however thought about Word Bearers and Iron Warriors.
I have had a small squad of 5 models which I have painted 3 or 4 times. After many mistakes I have finally settled on Iron Warriors.
He is my first effort with the paint scheme I have settled on.

Project WIP
Hey guys.
Another part of my project almost done.
I tried for an old weathered skin look, seeing as its the back of a wolfskin. I remember when I was a kid my folks had a sheepskin rug and it looked just like that.
Its a little messy from the washes however I will be adding a transfer which will cover a fair bit of it up. That will be another learning experience. Haven't used transfers in years lol.
Oh well, more to come later.

Long time no hobby!
Hello all.
So, its been quite a while since I did anything worth posting about. I realised that I really don't enjoy painting or assembling whole armies. It really sucks the joy out of the hobby.
Over the last couple of months I've been working slowly on a hobby project just for fun and to better my skills. It isn't an army or even a unit for an army. Just something I thought would be really cool.
I have finished assembling, greenstuffing and priming the models and am starting to paint them now.
Over the past week I have been learning how to paint faces and then applying what I've learnt to the 5 faces I am using for this project. I haven't figured out eyes yet, and screwed every face where I attempted the eyes and am not 100 percent happy with a couple of them but hey, its a work in progress.
So enough jibber jabber here is a pic of the 5 faces.
To be continued.......
